A summer greeting from Lysa
2026-06-26

Dear customer,
Summer has arrived in Denmark. Graduates are celebrating, we gather around the Sankt Hans bonfire, the evenings are bright, and for many, the summer holiday is just around the corner. It is one of the very best times of the year, and perhaps also a time when we find a little more calm to zoom out from everyday life, from the news flow, and from the short-term fluctuations in the financial markets.
At the same time, summer reminds us that we are already halfway through 2026 and halfway through the investment year. It has been an eventful first half of the year in the financial markets, with geopolitical tensions, rising oil prices, recurring inflation, higher interest rates, and not least AI all playing a major role.
All of these factors have affected the markets, and therefore also our investments and savings. When markets move quickly up and down, investing can feel like something of a roller coaster. It can feel overwhelming, but as an investor, it is often precisely during these periods that the most important thing is not to get carried away, but to stick to your plan.

A strong first half for the ‘disciplined optimist’
We at Lysa often talk about being a ‘disciplined optimist’. Not because one should close one’s eyes to uncertainty in the world, but because long-term investing is based on the belief that people and companies create solutions and value over time, and that a well-diversified portfolio provides good conditions for taking part in that value creation.
Spreading risk across the global economy
With Lysa, you automatically spread your savings across approximately 7,000 companies around the world. From American giants such as Nvidia and Google, via Danish champions such as Novo Nordisk and Mærsk, to much smaller companies and dynamic emerging markets. Depending on your risk profile and investment horizon, we also add bonds to make your portfolio more robust. It is precisely this broad diversification that can help reduce fluctuations in your portfolio when markets are unsettled.
Why patience and discipline bear fruit
Although the news flow often focuses on uncertainty and market fluctuations have been significant, many investors have had a good first half of the year. For example, Lysa’s main fund, Lysa Global Equity Broad, has risen by 11% in the first nearly six months of the year. Meanwhile, some of the smaller and more specialised parts of the portfolio, such as small-cap companies and emerging markets, have performed even better. This highlights the value of broad diversification across different parts of the global economy. Patience, discipline, and optimism have certainly borne fruit in the first half of the year.
This reminds us of something important. It is impossible to predict stock market movements over the next week, month, or year. But over time, markets have historically tended to rise. It is this long-term value creation that we want as many Danes as possible to benefit from.
Making it simpler to stick to your plan
That is why we have lowered the minimum amount for the monthly savings plan, so you can now start from as little as 100 kr. per month. With a monthly savings plan, you automatically invest a fixed amount every month, making it easier to stick to your plan through both calm and volatile markets. It is a simple way to invest like a ‘disciplined optimist’.
You can easily create a monthly savings plan by clicking here.
We have also been busy at Lysa
While markets have moved up and down, we at Lysa have continued working to make our service even better. We have launched a number of improvements that make it easier, more flexible, and safer to save and invest with us.
Lysa in Danish
Most of you have probably noticed that Lysa.dk is now also available in Danish. Since launching in Denmark, we have grown significantly and know that it is easier to keep track of your savings in the language you use every day. That is why we launched the Danish version of Lysa in May.

If you have not yet changed your language, you can do so when logged in: Menu (☰) → Profile → Settings → Select language → Danish. You can log in to your account by clicking here.
Our monthly savings plan has become even more accessible
We believe that a monthly savings plan is a strong way to save and invest. When you invest a fixed amount each month, investing becomes a habit that, over time, can help build solid savings. It also becomes easier to stay the course when markets are flashing red and investor psychology is put to the test.
That is why we are especially proud that Lysa’s monthly savings plan was named “Best in Test” by Forbrugerrådet Tænk in their most recent test from 2024.
You can now start a monthly savings plan from 100 kr. per month. After that, we make sure the money is automatically invested according to your investment proposal and target allocation. Simple as that.
Faster withdrawals to NemKonto
We believe it should be just as simple to withdraw money as it is to deposit it.
That is why we have now introduced even faster withdrawals to your NemKonto. Once we have received the proceeds from the sale of your investments, we transfer the money directly by instant payment. Of course with no fees or hidden costs.
In most cases, withdrawals requested before 16:00 on a banking day will arrive in your NemKonto on the next banking day. In some cases, however, it may take up to three banking days.
Improvements to your savings with the introduction of a new bond fund
In June, we introduced Lysa Global Short-Term Fixed Income, a bond fund with a shorter investment horizon. This allows us to better adapt the bond portion of your portfolio to your goal and investment horizon.
The new fund can help increase stability for shorter-term savings, while the long-term bond fund continues to contribute diversification for portfolios with a longer investment horizon.
Your feedback helps us improve
Many of the improvements we have launched are based on wishes and feedback from you, our customers.
That means a lot to us. If you have ideas for how we can make Lysa even better and easier to use in Denmark, you are always welcome to contact us. You can write to our customer support or reach out directly to me.
Thank you for your trust
Today, more than 205,000 customers save and invest through Lysa, and we manage more than 40 billion kr. We are growing steadily in Denmark and are incredibly grateful for the trust you show us.
Managing money is fundamentally about trust. That is why Lysa, unlike many others in the industry, is paid only directly by you as a customer. That gives us the freedom to always keep one interest in focus: yours.
A large part of our growth is thanks to you, our customers, who recommend Lysa to friends, family, and colleagues. We are both proud of that and very grateful for it.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for saving and investing with us. And thank you for sticking to your long-term savings plan. Even when markets move.
We wish you and your loved ones a wonderful summer.
Best regards,
Jakob Westh Christensen and the rest of the Lysa team
